Please read and follow these rules to ensure a positive and immersive roleplay experience for everyone in the British Life RP community.
Breaking these rules may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the server. Staff decisions are final, but you may appeal through the proper channels in our Discord. Remember that these rules exist to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.
Treat all players with respect regardless of their role, experience level, or background. Harassment, discrimination, and bullying are strictly prohibited.
Examples: No personal attacks, hate speech, or targeted harassment of any kind.
Staff members are here to ensure a positive experience for everyone. Always follow instructions from staff members promptly and respectfully.
Examples: If a staff member asks you to stop an action or move to another location, comply immediately.
The use of cheats, hacks, mods, or exploiting game mechanics/bugs for unfair advantages is strictly prohibited.
Examples: Using mod menus, exploiting game glitches, or using external programs to gain advantages.
Using information obtained outside of roleplay (Discord, streams, etc.) within the game is prohibited. Only use information your character would realistically know.
Examples: Watching someone's stream to find their location or using Discord to coordinate actions in-game.
Forcing actions or scenarios on other players without giving them a fair chance to respond or react is prohibited.
Examples: Declaring 'I shoot and kill you' without giving the other player a chance to respond or roleplay the situation.
Your character should act as if their life is valuable. Avoid unrealistic behavior that puts your character in obvious danger without proper roleplay reasoning.
Examples: Running toward armed police officers while they have weapons drawn, or jumping off buildings without fear of injury.
Maintain your character's persona at all times while in-game. Separate in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC) communications appropriately.
Examples: Use /ooc or designated OOC channels for any out-of-character discussions.
Disconnecting from the server during active roleplay scenarios, especially combat situations, is prohibited. If you disconnect during an active scenario, you must return to your last location upon reconnecting.
Examples: Logging out when being pursued by police, disconnecting during a gunfight, or quitting to avoid roleplay consequences.
Stealing from or kidnapping Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel is prohibited. Medical staff must be allowed to perform their duties without interference.
Examples: Kidnapping paramedics, stealing ambulances, or preventing medical staff from treating patients.
Create characters with realistic backgrounds, abilities, and appearances that fit within the British Life RP universe.
Examples: No characters claiming to be celebrities, supernatural beings, or having unrealistic backgrounds.
Use realistic names that fit within the setting. Avoid offensive, celebrity, or joke names.
Examples: Names like 'John Smith' are acceptable, while 'xXKillerDude420Xx' or 'Brad Pitt' are not.
Maintain consistency in your character's personality, skills, and background. Sudden unexplained changes are discouraged.
Examples: A doctor shouldn't suddenly become an expert hacker without proper roleplay development.
If your character dies, you must not return to the scene or seek revenge for at least 30 minutes. You should roleplay as if your character has no memory of the events leading to their death.
Examples: If you die during a bank robbery, you cannot return to the same bank to continue the robbery or seek revenge on those who killed you.
Use vehicles in a realistic manner. Respect traffic laws when appropriate and avoid unrealistic driving stunts.
Examples: No driving off cliffs expecting to survive or using vehicles in ways that would be impossible in real life.
Respect other players' vehicle ownership. Stealing vehicles should be done with proper roleplay and not excessively targeted at specific players.
Examples: Don't repeatedly steal the same player's vehicles without roleplay justification.
Respect other players' properties. Breaking into properties should be done with proper roleplay and not excessively targeted at specific players.
Examples: Don't camp outside someone's property waiting for them to leave just to rob them.
Do not abuse designated safe zones to avoid roleplay consequences or to initiate criminal activities.
Examples: Hiding in a safe zone to avoid police or using safe zones as staging areas for crimes.
Use appropriate language in all communications. Excessive profanity, hate speech, and discriminatory language are prohibited.
Examples: No racial slurs, homophobic language, or targeted harassment.
Use voice chat appropriately. Avoid mic spam, playing music, or using unapproved voice changers that disrupt roleplay. Voice changers must be approved by staff members before use.
Examples: Don't blast music through your microphone or use voice changers without prior approval from staff.
Use radio channels appropriately. Emergency services channels should be kept clear for official communications.
Examples: Don't spam police radio channels with irrelevant chatter or false reports.
Advertising other servers, communities, or services is prohibited without staff permission.
Examples: Don't promote other FiveM servers or try to recruit players to other communities.
Toxic behavior, including excessive negativity, harassment, or deliberately ruining others' roleplay experiences is prohibited.
Examples: Constantly complaining, harassing new players, or deliberately disrupting scenarios.
Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination are strictly prohibited in all forms.
Examples: Using slurs, making discriminatory jokes, or targeting players based on their identity.
Explicit sexual content, harassment, or inappropriate roleplay is prohibited. Keep all interactions appropriate.
Examples: Explicit sexual roleplay, unwanted advances, or sexually harassing other players.
Sharing personal information about other players or making personal attacks is strictly prohibited.
Examples: Revealing someone's real name, address, or other personal details, or making threats against them.
Deliberately disrupting roleplay or annoying other players for your own amusement is prohibited.
Examples: Repeatedly interfering with scenarios, making nonsensical noises, or deliberately breaking immersion.
Our staff team is dedicated to maintaining a fair and enjoyable environment for all players. Rule enforcement follows a progressive system:
For minor first-time offenses, staff may issue a verbal warning and explain the rule violation.
Repeated minor offenses or more serious violations will result in a formal written warning.
Continued rule violations or serious offenses may result in temporary bans of varying lengths.
Severe violations or repeated offenses after multiple warnings may result in a permanent ban from the server. All enforcement actions are documented and can be appealed through the proper channels in our Discord.
These rules may be updated periodically to improve the server experience. It is your responsibility to stay informed about any changes. Major rule updates will be announced in our Discord server and may be accompanied by in-game notifications.
